A tough, flexible and weather-resistant high-gloss, two-part polyurethane.
Resistant to solvents, chemicals and abrasion.
Recommended as the most durable fabric finish over Poly-Fiber covering materials and all primed metal and glass fiber composite components on fabric-covered aircraft.
Also can be used to refinish suitably rejuvenated nitrate and butyrate dope fabric surfaces, all old sound finishes on metal and glass fiber aircraft components, old finishes on glass fiber or metal boat hulls, automotive, truck and industrial equipment.
This product comes supplied with the appropriate quantity of U-865 Catalyst. (UE-820 Reducer not included)
For best results, spray 3 coats of catalysed and thinned Aero-Thane. Initial spray coat should be a mist/dust coat to provide adhesion. The following second and third coats should be wet and provide good coverage, but not flooded on. Allow extra time in cooler temperatures for paint to flash off and flow out between coats.
This product must be sprayed using an air-fed spray mask. Standard carbon filter masks are not sufficient for protection against carcinogens.
Guaranteed shelf life, unopened, in protected storage at room temperature is 4 years from date of manufacture. Avoid long-range storage above 100° F. Not affected by freezing. The polymerization of the catalyzed paint may be suspended 24 hours or longer by storing it in a refrigerator or freezer (just keep it away from the ice cream). Warm to room temperature before spraying.
